Project History
2001 - The County of Hunterdon New Jersey selected Avail to equip their contractor operated fleet of vehicles with an AVL solution that would interface to their existing paratransit scheduling and dispatch software also under contract operation by a separate group. The hardware and interface solution provides real-time tracking of the fleet to the central dispatch operations, allows on-the-fly re-assignment of trips to a different route, automated paperless transmission of route manifest to the vehicle, and automatic collection and reporting of ridership information back to the existing dispatching system. This project included the installation of a radio infrastructure and data frequency to support the system.
