PARTA Portage Area Regional Transportation Authority Avail Customer since 2004 Customer Profile PARTA provides fixed route, circulator and dial-a-ride services for Portage County. PARTA also provides Campus Bus Services for Kent State University. PARTA currently operates a mixed fleet of approximately 70 fixed route vehicles and paratransit vehicles. Avail Technology and Services Snapshot Technology Needs Assessment Project History 2004 - PARTA has experienced double digit growth in ridership over the past several years. In 2004 PARTA also took over operation of Kent State University Campus Bus Services. As a result of this rapid growth in both fixed route and demand response services PARTA was interested in gaining a better understanding of how ITS technologies could benefit their operations and improve efficiency. Avail performed a technology assessment and needs Analysis for PARTA and recommended several technologies to improve their operations.
