The Metro system is concentrated in the urbanized areas of the Cities of Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton and links to surrounding boroughs and townships. Metro Plus carrier, Easton Coach operates over one-hundred vans within Lehigh and Northampton counties. LANTA's fleet of vehicles consists of over of 25 fixed route vehicles and 100 paratransit vans.

2002 - Avail provided LANTA a Technology Investment Plan to provide a clear and concise path to lead LANTA through the next three years as they employed Intelligent Transportation Systems. The plan incorporated a complete review of LANTA's existing technologies, procedures, services, and practices. After reviewing the existing technologies Avail completed a needs assessment survey and interviews of LANTA users. Avail reviewed the surveys and identified Intelligent Transportation Technologies that addressed LANTA's needs. With this information in hand Avail completed consensus-building and prioritization to phase the needs and technologies for deployment. Based on the results of the initial contract, Avail was subsequently awarded an additional contract to upgrade LANTA's Metro Plus fleet with Mobile Data Terminals and Automatic Vehicle Location equipment in the paratransit fleet. Avail developed the technical specification, and provided oversight for the procurement and is providing oversight for the installation of the equipment. The upgrade included adding the MDT/AVL interface to Transched Transview .
2004 - LANTA contracted with Avail to evaluate On-Board Video Surveillance Systems and assist them in their selection. LANTA selected the Safety Vision Road Recorder 6000 and undertook a two phased implementation approach. The 1st lot was installed on 58 fixed route vehicles were a system shake down and operational procedures were developed.
2004 - Upon the completion of the evaulation process, LANTA then installed an additional 24 vehicles for a fleet total of 82.
