Over 90% of BT’s ridership is from students and faculty. BT uses students as drivers in their operation and shift changes occur on campus instead of at BT’s facility, so student’s drivers never need to go to a BT facility. BT currently operates a mixed fleet of approximately 45 fixed route vehicles and 15 paratransit vehicles.
- Consulting/Project Management
2004 - BT awarded a contract to Avail to perform a needs analysis, develop a system design, write ITS procurement specifications, and integrate the selected technologies into BT’s operations. The needs analysis and system design have been completed.
2006 - The next phase of the project scheduled to begin this summer is the deployment of the CAD/AVL, mobile data terminals, automatic passenger counters and a management information system.
